like your family is taking bets to see how long your marriage will last? i seriously feel that some members (not all, but many) question us lasting and that i will hear a ton of 'i told you so's' if it doesn't. pisses me off. like if we get into an argument, they laugh, like they are omnipotent and i have no idea what i am getting into. it's not a laugh like 'ha, i remember that, good luck, just think, you have another 50 years of that'...rather it's a laugh that is more along the lines of 'yeah, we'll see if this one makes a year.' i am hurt but at the same time, i don't give a flying $*@% b/c it isn't like these people have marriages to look up to. anyway, i could go on with specifics, but i had to vent.

dont feel bad my aunts were saying that the day of my wedding was so cold because hell froze over... they must have told my dh that he could borrow there cars for his getaway car 10 times. they also told my mother that is the wedding lasts less then a 1 year they wont there gifts back

that's horrible!! Family is supposed to be behind you 110% no matter what you do! No one has the 'perfect' relationship we all have problems....that doesn't mean that our marriages aren't going to last!

Sometimes family can be so rude. They should be supportive. I would just ignore them - as long as you and FH know you're doing the right thing, that's what counts.
