Anyone ever get out of a car lease?

DH's parents are giving us one of their cars (they are retired in Florida and never drive it)....but, my lease is not up until September. We are getting DH's parents car in December. So...that's 9 months that we will have both cars. I would love to get out of the lease early....so I don't have to pay for it. Anyone ever do this? Any suggesstions? Thanks.

Re: Anyone ever get out of a car lease?

I used this website:

http://www.swapalease.com

I actually found someone in the same town as I was in and I signed over the 2 remaining year of my lease to them. The credit company had to approve the new leasee, but the paperwork was pretty minimal. Within a month, I'd gotten rid of my car.
