hey girls,

has anyone been to punta cana if so where did you stay??

I stayed at the Occidental hotel (I don't remember the name of it).

Don't stay there...
We didn't have power for about 3 out of 6 days. We couldn't wait to come home!!

I've been to the Dominican b4 with a bunch of my girlfriend's, but we went to Puerta Plata. I think Punta Cana is supposed to be a nicer part of the Dominican. Lots of nice all-inclusive resorts.

I went to punta cana and stayed at the Rui Palace... it was really nice and not many kids

Jennifer i went to Sunscape the Beach in Punta Cana and i had a fantastic time there...i fell in love with the staff and i wanted to exxtend my stay

I got engaged at Sunscape the Beach and I cannot say enough things about how great it is. I have a friend who got back from Majestic yesterday they liked it a lot. I've been to PUnta Cana 3 times and love it there. I've never stayed at Majestic.

I had my HM at Iberostar Punta Cana. It's all remodeled and all inclusive.

I went to PC in 2003 and stayed at Secrets Excellence (now just Excellence) and it was amazing. My FH and I had our best vacation there and we are going back for a week in June. Can't say enough good things about that resort!!

All-inclusive, adults only, jacuzzi in every room...awesome!

stayed in the Melia Tropicale in June, and while it was gorgeous, all four of us got some kind of stomach bug thing, and alot of other people there were complaining of the same thing...we were not drinking the water, so we think it may have been being spread through the pool. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer! Hopefully that wouldn't happen to you or anyone else!!

ohh booo! we stayed at the occidental and had THE best time...we always got beach chairs...we ate at all the recommended places (based on what ppl on trip advisor said) so we didnt get sick and didnt have any bad food. totally loved everything...especially the boat cruise!

i SECOND this vote too! I might be biased because it is where we got engaged....but I LOVED IT.... Actually because the place was so nice FH and I are having a hard time finding a place to go on out honeymoon that is just as nice.

We just went to Punta Cana last month. We stayed at Barcelo Bavaro Palace. It was beautiful. The Barcelo chain has five hotels you can go to all on the same property. There is a casino, golf course, shopping, clubs..etc. The weather was amazing.

The only problem was that my FH got a parasite----he didn't even drink the water! We met a couple there and the guy got sick too..had to go to the hospital while we were there! no good.

FH and I went last May as a graduation gift. We stayed at Sunscape the Beach. The place is beautiful and the staff is friendly. We did a few excursions (horseback riding, ATV riding). It was alot of fun.
