I know more about Orlando and Miami. International dr in orlando has a ton of stuff to do from resturants to fun muesums. If you drive to Miami so to South Beach. The strips there have amazing clubs and resturants. Sorry i dont have info on Clearwater !

When we go to Tampa we go to Clearwater/St. Pete. The beaches are beautiful!!!! During the summer it will be packed. It has shops and restaurants all over.
Fort Desoto Park/Beach is absolutely beautiful!!

We've only done day trips to the beach so I dont know what else is there.

Clearwater beach is really nice. There is a lot of restaurant's there, I think there is a pirate ship you can have dinner on, and all other water sports. I don't know what you guys are into but there is Honeymoon Island State Park, Caladesi State Park for trails and kayaking in mangroves. Or Busch gardens is probably close or Tampa Zoo.
I love it down there. Have fun!

I have been there a few times.....there is a big pink hotel called the Don Cesar which is the major landmark. Nearby to the south there is a very quaint neighborhood called Pass-a-grille. It has a nice 20's feel, and there is a very popular concession stand which serves full breakfasts on the beach.
They sell some nice little paintings of the area as well. The most famous bar is called the hurricane.
To the north there is a greek area called Tarpon springs where you can buy sea sponges, I enjoyed that as well. Home Shopping Network is headquartered there, you may be able to take a tour, I'm not sure.
Hope this was helpful, it's been a few years so please excuse any spelling errors.
