Anyone ever have that surgery..

where they stitch your earing hole closed?

How much is it? Mine is ruined from wearing huge earrings in the 80's

Also where can I get it done? Thanks

I had mine done a few years ago - my earring actully pulled through my ear !

I went to a plastic surgeon in Great Neck - he was GREAT! His name was Burt Greenberg. I don't know how much it was - I guess since it ripped through it was covered under my insurance at the time...

Oh Jenn me too!! I used to wear those HUGE HEAVY door knockers, my poor ears, I remember it was soooo expensive but I would do it now

My gf just had it done.. The dr. could only do one earlobe at a time so that it could be covered by insurance..

My gf's lobes look AMAZING!! he did dermabrasion to them afterwards so you can't see the line and she is getting them pierced next week (you can get them pierced 6 weeks after getting them done!)

OMG are you guys kidding? it can be covered under insurance?

I have had an indentation in my ear since birth (got caught on the way out )

it has been something that I have been very sensitive about my whole life...

I thought it was elective/cosmetic...so therefore not covered...I could cry right now...

do you have to be put out?

after crying the week before my wedding b/c I didn't have earrings to cover it...my MIL told me she would pay for it...but I don't want to go under for something that I can 'live' with...but if anyone finds out any info...please post it...I actually cried today thinking that this could happen...its definitely haunted me my whole life...

Erica - I have a similiar thing! A 'fold' around one of my ear piercings that looks like a torn lobe. I used to be VERY self-conscious about wearing earrings that covered it. But I've gotten pass that somewhat. Though I still HATE when people point it out!
