The bridal building? Its in NYC on broadway. SIL is considering looking there for her gown but I've never heard of it.

Yes. There prices are amazing. I wound up getting my dress somewhere else, but it's worth the trip.

It's definately not the first place you want to go. It gets really crowded and the dressing rooms aren't all that private.

If she finds a dress that she loves somewhere else and wants to save a TON of money (one of the dresses I was considering would have been $900 cheaper if I bought there) then go there to make the purchase.

Go for it.

The bridal building is at 1385 Broadway. You can get a good deal there, but will have to deal with crowds and not the greatest service and the other bad thing is No alterations. You will have to pick up your gown and bring it to your own tailor. If you can deal with that then you are good to go.

The store on the 7th floor carries the designer dresses. It's small - but like I said if you know what you want it's worth it.

The rest of the shops w/ the exception of one or two are knock offs.

YES.....I've been there but haven't gone to the bridal gown stores. I hear they have excellent choices.

I work right across the street. I didn't find it too helpful.
