Anyone ever heard of these?

Anyone ever heard of these?

I am on an eternal quest for comfortable, 'high' heels (3ish inches), as FH is over a foot taller than me.

I recently heard about these... has anyone ever tried them? Are they worth the money? I may be willing to invest in them if they are as comfortable as I have heard they are... they apparently are super flexible, well-padded, and have adjustable width. I am anxious to hit a salon on LI that carries them so I can try them on!!!

Re: Anyone ever heard of these?

YES! I have them. But I have the Angela Nuran Starletta shoes, not the Astoria, and the Starletta's have 4 1/4 heels. They are so so so comfortable for heels that's why I got them!

They are definitely cushioned. max time i wore them thus far was 20-30 minutes checking them out and they were comfy the entire time.

Maybe I'll try them on later again today and let you know how comfy again, since theyre all boxed up and I haven't tested them out in a while. I don't want to wreck them though and make them look worn before the big day.

They don't give me a 4 1/4 inch increase in height though! Just a heads up on that. FI is also a foot taller than me. I thought they would give me 4 1/4 inches more in height but they don't. I'm wearing them though so that I don't suffer on the day as I don't usually wear heels.

They have an adjustable width with the metal buckle up in the front. The Astorias have a dancers hook? for the strap on the ankle too. (Starletta doesn't) I have short but slightly wide feet. I ended up getting a full shoe size down from what I normally wear, I couldve gone even 1/2 size down from that, but I was worried about my feet swelling after 10-12 hours so went with just one full size down.

I tried the Astoria on too, they are even more comfortable than the starletta. It was like walking on flats, but I wanted the Starletta with the optional ribbon just incase I went with that look.

A.N.'s are not the fanciest or cutest shoes out there but they are really comfortable.

If you check the AN website it'll give a list of retailers. I first went to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. They didn't have anything except a pair of the Eternity ones that were being discontinued...
I tried them on at Nouveau Bride in Merrick?. They had the AN shoes there I think with the different heel heights too. the astoria comes in 2 heights. so does the eternity.. not all the sizes though, but you can call ahead and ask whats available now. theyre different colors but at least the sizes are there.
I think AN is coming out with new styles soon. Not sure when, but its on her facebook. new buckles, and looks like a new pair of pointy shoes.

good luck!

Cole Haan makes a shoe that has the same insole as Nike Air so it is super comfortable.

If all else fails, you can always order a padded shoe insert. I ordered my shoes from myglassslipper.com, and they have a great selection

Re: Anyone ever heard of these?

so i called around, and kleinfeld doesn't sell them anymore, and only reflections carle place does, not Massapequa or nyc. They said they are $275, and have 2 styles, and don't dye them. My glass slipper in nyc sells them for $300 and has a website also. I definitely want to go try them on they sound worth the price!

This video about them is cool:

I want to get the blue starlettas

Re: Anyone ever heard of these?

I don't know why, the angela nuran website doesnt have the same stores listed as it did way back when I was looking for them. Only Kleinfelds is listed for me right now! They had a few other stores listed before.

You can try them on at Nouveau Bride in Merrick though, hopefully they didnt discontinue selling them. I think when I originally looked on the AN website the name of the bridal shop was different but when I called and I got to the address it was then called Nouveau Bride. Its the same shop... Lots of prom dresses. They have some pretty whacky colored dresses there but lots of bridal shoe brands IMO to try on.

They had the AN Starlettas in ivory or dyeable white i can't remember, and silver to try on for size if i remember correctly.

To get them dyed they recommend going to angela nuran itself since the bottoms are suede. The starletta's dont come in blue naturally, you have to have them dyed.

Good luck!
