I noticed that too! I am always on the lookout for new reviews, but I keep seeing the same ones over and over again...

I check all the time hoping there will be a new one. But it's rarely done. I promise to review mine!
Maybe they are on super long honeymoons!

Honestly, I think it's because after the wedding, you are getting used to your new life and may forget to do so... or some people don't post again after the wedding I check out the reviews every once in a while and it does seem to be the same ones.
I can't wait to give my reviews! But you have to wait a few months. lol
Ladies..... post SOMETHING - even if it isn't for every vendor you used! Your experience can help the rest of us out!

Re: Anyone ever notice...
Yup! I wish there were more reviews, but post-wedding can be such a crazy time with Hm's and some couples buying a house or living together for the first time. To the newlyweds- better late than never, i love reading reviews!

Re: Anyone ever notice...
Just to help answer your question...as a newlywed... For me, after HM was the holidays and back to work.
It really took me a lot of thought and time to write my review, hence why it took me 3 months to post it.
I would do a little at a time and just save it, so I could remember all of my vendors and what they did.
It will come, just not right away...

Re: Anyone ever notice...
I did not do a review, I was once stalked by a vendor after I posted something, and since then I keep telling myself this is a public site and anyone can read it, etc. I know I am being paranoid, but this is how I feel. If anyone had FM mailed me I was glad to discuss my vendors etc. I also do not mind helping out a fellow bride. It is people like this that ruin it for the nice people on these boards. You just have to be careful and also being married is an overwhelming adjustment right afterwards- so much still to do, name changes, moving in, etc, it can get overwhelming and you are on a new schedule etc. HTH.

Re: Anyone ever notice...
The girls are right. I've been married 2 months (today! ) and I really haven't had the time to sit down and think about a review. I want to do one for all the girls I know who are using my vendors but I don;t have the energy at night to do one. I am one of those girls that moved in with DH AFTER the wedding (we both lived with parents before) so it's been a HUGE adjustment, not in a bad way, just it's a lot of work - cooking, cleaning, organizing, moving in, sleeping patterns ... it's been a big adjustment for me. I really hope to do a review as soon as life settles in a little bit more.

I see what you are saying, but I have noticed something else too. I see that the turn over of topics and responsive posts are more frequent during the weekdays and business hours which tells me one thing: WE HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK LADIES!!!!!!

there are planty of reviews imo...you just have to do a search... and i think so people don't want to do it... plus there are more brides to be than newlyweds

im sure its probably due to the fact that a newlywed's life is so hectic after the wedding.
actually if you take the number of brides who have gotten married and used this site (probably in the thousands or tens of thousands), and compare it to the number of bride reviews (about 400-500)...there's a great difference.

I would guess that after the wedding, people are SWAMPED with things to do - It's also a lot of work to do a review as you're trying to do your thank yous, organize gifts/money, get used being married, and getting back to work.
I appreciate the work that reviewers DO put in, but I won't hold anything against those brides that don't.

The Bride's Review Board is relatively new. If you do a search, you fill find many of the 'old time' reviews were done on BHB.
And, not everyone feels comfortable posting a review- especially if it's negative. I ended up cancelling a vendor less than 3 months before my wedding because of 'drama posts'. Plus, if someone gives less than an A, many brides who booked the same vendor will get very upset about it. So, for many of us, it's not worth the grief to do a review.
I, personally, did one, but I had to be very careful with it. And, they take a long time to do.
