Anyone experience this??

Anyone experience this??

So I am curious how others have handled this situation: we just got back an RSVP that included this couple's 2 year old baby, although we are having an adult only reception and did not include the baby's name on the invite. Anyone else think this is rude?? Any thoughts on how to handle?????

(sorry original post in wrong place!!)
TIA!!

I had a cousin that said he and his wife could only come if they could bring their infnat. My mom called and told them it was an adult only reception. They ended up not comming. In my opinion, it is rude to assume that a child is invited. Also, if it is really important for them to be at your wedding, they will be there.
I think this post came off as sounding a little snotty.....it really wasn't meant to be...lol.

Just kindly tell them its an adult only reception and apologize. If they ask you to make an exception tell them others have asked you to make exceptions also and if you say yes to them then everyone else with kids will be upset.

NOT snotty at all! I completely agree, it is rude to assume a child can come... Surprised that couple ended up not coming to your wedding because they couldn't bring their child.....I??!? just don't get some people.

when people behave like this, it hardly turns out the way you hope it will. Decide how you are going to feel in each scenerio and pick the one you are most willing to deal with.

good luck!
