I tried it for the 1st time and tried to buy something using 'Buy It Now' and I hit submit and now it wants me to use Pay Pal and enter some code? I never used Pay Pal and I emailed the vendor to ask how to use a regular credit card and he isnot emailing me back....
most sellers cannot take direct credit card payments. The auction should have specified accepted payment methods.

Pay pal will transfer the funs without the other user ever seeing your account. It is like a middle man.
