Anyone get a fake ring for the HM?

I want to, but I don't want to spend a fortune on it, but I still want it to look like it's not a piece of crap. Any suggestions for websites or where to go?

I am not wearing rings on HM either. I got a fake set =) The e-ring in pic is very similar to mine! For me, I don't want to have to worry about losing it or locking it up in safe. Peace of mind really!

everyone has been telling me DO NOT BRING YOUR RINGS!! so i was thinking of getting some cute costume jewelry maybe???
i went to barrons tri county today and they were CLOSED
i was going to look there though!

it is kind of sad not to be wearing them right after you get married but i think I would be way more sad if I lost them or they got stolen on the HM!

you will wear them for the rest of your life - a week or 2 without them should be bearable!

still debating this. although i have seen some really nice fakies out there...... it sounds like a good idea, just to make sure nothing terrible happens to the real thing.

Def. not, my ring is insured so i'm not worried. I could never wear a fake diamond ring.

i actually know a couple girls that used a hair rubber band to wrap around the finger above the rings, so there was no way of falling off.

Try QVC and HSN. FMIL gets some nice stuff from there.

Don't be fooled ladies. Just b/c you have insurance on it doesn't mean it's an easy task to get the insurance company to settle your claim. There is a lot that is involved with proving the loss of the ring. It can and most likely will be a long and arduous task to get your ring replaced or the funds to replace the ring. Not to mention the ring you were originally engaged with is gone.

I would rather just save myself the headache and leave my good stuff at home while I'm swimming, snorkeling, hiking, surfing, etc. in Costa Rica.

I agree. Don't think that because you have insurance on your ring, that you can call your insurance company up and tell them you lost it and they are going to hand you over a check. It's not that easy.

I've never taken my ring on vacation with me. As sad as it is, it's not worth risking.I refuse to leave it in a safe in the hotel room, and no ring is safe on your finger when you are on a beach! I've heard MANY stories of people losing their rings while they were swimming. I bought a plain white gold band to wear when we go away. I don't even wear my diamond eternity band. Just not worth the risk IMO.

I have to agree with everyone. As much as it's going to be SOOOOO hard to part with my rings, I just can't imagine taking the chance of losing them. When I've gone on cruises, I've taken them off and locked them in the safe (and that's even risky) but I'm not taking a chance with a safe in a hotel room or losing them on the beach. You just never know and it's totally not worth it. I'm going to check out some of those sites tonight for fake HM rings. Thanks everyone!!!!

I'm in debate about the E- , but as far as wedding bands go I'm getting 2 one diamond and one semi-plain to wear to work,etc.

I agree about the insurance being difficult. Someone posted something about when she lost her engagement ring, her insurance company gave her a very very hard time!
