Anyone Get Married at Town Hall??

FH and I have decided to get married at Town Hall and have our reception at a later time. I was just wondering if there was anyone out there that got married at town hall.

How does it work? Do you have to apply for your marriage license and then wait 24 hours and then go back to town hall and get married.

I know that Smithtown Town Hall will give you names of people that you would have to call and make an apt with, but I'm not sure about other town halls.

Also how long is the ceremony?

FH and I were planning on going on Monday night to apply for our marriage license so any info before then would help!

TIA!!

I live in Ronkonkoma so it would be Islip but I've tried to go on their website and it doesn't load for some reason.

I'm getting married at Vilage Hall in Port Jefferson next month. The fee is $100 for the justice of the peace. The marriage license has to be at least 24 hours old and you need to bring one witness over the age of 18.

We're getting our marriage license at Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville and the fee is $40.
