Anyone getting BM dresses Made?

Yes, my bm's are.....I couldn't find anything that we liked, we wanted something different, so we found a picture of a dress we all loved bought the fabric and brought it to a seamstress that was recommended in queens....this is the dress we are having made

I don't have a pic, but my Mom is making everything: my dress, flower girl and BM's (3). I'm lucky she's a pattern maker too, if not, I would be screwed because I'm poor.

Oh-Good....I thought I was the only one. Where are you purchasing, or have purchased your fabrics?

I am having the girls dresses made, because I have 9 girls all different shapes and sizes. I will pick the color the seamstress will help pick the fabric, and the girls will pick their individual style.

The 'Fashion District' - 8th Ave (Broadway) and the 30's there are so many fabric stores there. That's where all the designers get their stuff from.

Thanks for the information. My seamstress mentioned the 'Garment District' I haven't gotten all the information for what stores she will tell us to look in. I am going the last weekend in Jan with some of the girls to look at things.

Can you tell me anything about what I should be aware of while having the dresses made?

The MOB is making our dresses. The fabric is from a place in the city, I can't think of the name. Definitely try the fabric places in the fashion district, they have everything!!
