Our church won't marry us on that day because it's a Tuesday. Has anyone heard of this? The priest didn't really give us a reason and now we're in a bind.
Any help or suggestions.

I think you should push for more information as to why not.......
You may also want to ask if you could use the church and have another priest come in to do the ceremony

i am getting married MONDAY july 3rd of this year @ St Finbar ( bensonhurst brooklyn) and i did not have any problem booking my date .

I'm getting married Monday September 3,Labor Day, and I had no problem.
It may be because that particular priest will be gone or out of town. Maybe see if you can bring in another priest. Or call to some other churches maybe.

I am getting married on a Friday. When we scheduled with the priest he told us they have a lot of leeway on weekdays. Could they have prior engagements on Tuesdays... like religious ed, bible retreats?
I would ask and see if he could sugest a church in your area that can accomidate you.

I'm getting married on a Thursday and didn't have any problems....The ceremony just had to be before 3:30pm b/c CCD starts and you don't want all the kids running around in the pics....
