I checked out Cafe on the Green. The prices were not that great for what they were offering and they had a nasty attitude That was just my experience though. Douglaston Manor was much more impressive in terms of site and flexibility within a budget.

Re: Anyone getting married or live in Queens???
I know someone who just got married at Douglaston Manor. They were very happy with it!!
I think they got a whole package from there so your friend should be able to save with that!!

I'm so happy you said that cause i just booked my wedding with Roma View yesturday!!! You should tell her to def check it out. To have both rooms (Cocktail and reception) its a min of 125 people. The room is really nice and overlooks the bay.

I second this! My SIL was married in Sept. and her original florist messed up her bouquet. I called A&S and they made a new bouquet for her in an hour and it was beautiful!
Also, try Village Flower Shoppe on Metropolitan Ave. in Middle Village. DH and I get all our flowers from there and they are reasonable. DH bought me flowers last month for my b'day and the flowers lasted almost 2 weeks.

My parents went to a wedding at Roma View and said it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to! Definitely worth checking out!
I had my bridal shower at Roma View. The food and the service were great.

I am having my reception at Terrace on the Park on May 24, 2008 (Memorial Day weekend) and I was quoted at $105 pp. Its really beautiful, my fiancee and i fell in love with it.
