I really want to get a bagpiper my family is Irish so i think it would be fitting. I know they have other things like bugels(sp?) where the players dress up as noblemen from the times of kings and queens..
Is anyone doing anything like that?

sorry to crash! I hope to get a bagpiper to surprise my parents. We're very irish but i do not really like bagpipes, i think they are depressing, however my dad LOVES them. So i thought it would be a cute way to say thank you to him.
i'd rather have the trumpeters dressed in royal robes but i think my fiance would shoot me

Yeah they really are depressing! Ive been to 2 different funerals with them playing outside. As long as they don't play amazing grace then you're ok. But yeah, a surprise for your dad would be awesome. If he likes bagpipes that much, he'll defniately love the surprise!
