Anyone go to RK BRIDAL?

Hi Ladies,
I read about a 'gown warehouse' called RK bridal in the city. It is supposed to be this 11,000 sq. ft building that has great deals on wedding dresses. Ok- sounds good---but since this is a 'warehouse' do they still do fittings and alterations there? Do you get personalized attention? I would guess not. Please let me know...thanks!

Yes it is a warehouse as it is very large space on one level but it works. I believe they open from 11 am to 7 pm weekdays, which, was great for me working in Manhattan.

Most trains stop at Port Authority and they are located on 39th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue.

This place is great. You can get anything there from your gown, bridesmaids dresses, shoes, bags, accessories etc. I learned of them from The Knot.

I had great help from Jennifer and Janice.

I was very pleased with the selections and have not seen any tears other than joyful ones from potential brides. I picked my dress the first day!!

I just went for my first fitting on Friday and have two more to go.

Best of luck to you.

I liked RK Bridal. I got all of the attention and assistance I needed, but more importantly to me-they left me alone to browse the racks when I asked them to. My MOH and I had a great time looking through the dresses ourselves, without someone hovering over us. That's just the way we like to shop.

I'd recommend going during the week, if possible because it gets very, very busy on Saturdays. When you go in the door, go to the dressing rooms to the left (the bridal dressing rooms) and see if there is a sign up sheet. Put your name down and let a salesperson know that you are there. I think that I had to wait ten minutes tops.

I found their prices very competitive. They will beat a quoted price by 5%. I ended up buying my dress from a local salon-I thought that it would just be easier and more convenient for me.

Don't forget that afterwards, the Cupcake Cafe is right down the street!!

I saved about $500 by ordering my gown from them. They also put a cap on the alterations ($225)

I also bought my dress from RK Bridal. They were very easy to deal with (I worked with Jennifer) and by no means were you rushed or pressured to buy.

My only complaint was that I wasn't crazy sabout the job they did with the bustle, other than that it was fine

I had a terrible experience at RK Bridal. I found my dress for $200 less than thye were charging and when I tried to get them to match the price their attitude changed. They told me they would only offer me the no frills service which means order you dress from them and thne take it home. I wanted them to do the alerations, but they were not willing to help me if they matched the cheaper price. This whole practice would have made sense if their price included the alterations, but it did not. I was not going to pay an additional $200, plus the alterations just to but from their store.

I bought my BM dresses there and they were great. I have also got a BM dress for myself for another wedding and they were great.

I have two friends who got their gowns there and totally reommend the place. Alterations and all. One aso had no problems with the meeting the lower price as Crisco above did.

They are so convenient. I wanted to buy my gown there but they do not carry the designer. I liked working with Gilda. She is an older woman with 25+ years experience.

PS Bring a camera. They let you take pictures in the gowns. They come in handy later when you are comparing the gowns you like or if you want to show them to another shop.
