Anyone going for dance lessons with their FI???

Where?? How much?? And how many lessons???

I was so shocked that my FI agreed to this but I think this is going to be really good for us. We talked to a vendor yesterday at the showcase but I wanted to see what everyone else was doing too!

Thanks Ladies

We're taking a continuing ed Ballroom dancing class at the local High school. We're taking 10 lessons and it was $50 each(in all...not per session). I'm sure that the private studios give more individualized attention but I think its pretty $$$. We've taken 3 classes so far and its a lot fun. I didn't think my FH would go for it either but he did and even though he'll never ever admit it I think he actually likes the class!

were doing it- 7 private lesson package- its alot of $ - but it includes 2 practice sessions too

its expensive but worth it- they are making a dance for FH and I to dance our first dance together- its really really a nice experience and FH is enjoying it just as much, if not more, than I am

My Dad and I took lessons with John of Ballroom dancing. FH and I have taken a couple of lessons as well. We plan to go for a few more whenever he is in town. John is great, and the lessons are a lot of fun too.

We are-we are taking group lessons and have added a few private lessons. The private lessons are for our first dance. The instructor suggested that instead of choreographing a first dance for us, that they teach us a few basic moves that we can repeat throughout the song. The reason is that it comes off more natural and sometimes people get too nervous to remember all the steps to a dance and get flustered if they omit some moves. By teaching a few basics steps, you don't have to worry about 'what comes next'. I won't bother telling you prices/places because we are out of state

Fh and I are taking lessons with John. He is great and a lot of fun. We take lessons twice a month and love to doing it. We started back in December and are getting pretty 'good'. I definitely recommend him.

Yes, we are. We're taking lessons at Ballroom Dance of Huntington AND lessons at a local elementary school as part of the Adult Education Program.

We signed up for 10 private lessons, 5 group lessons, and 5 practice sessions at Ballroom of Huntington. It was expensive , but FH and I are having a lot of fun and it gets us off the couch at night. I look forward to going, because it's something we're doing together.

We start the adult ed. classes tonight. 8 weeks, 1- 1/2 hour long classes for only $50 a person.

The more practice we get, the better we hope to be! Besides, we both can seriously use the extra help learning to dance.
