I was so shocked that my FI agreed to this but I think this is going to be really good for us. We talked to a vendor yesterday at the showcase but I wanted to see what everyone else was doing too!

We are! Our first lesson was last week and it was a lot of fun. We're taking them from someone in Manhattan that a friend recommended (they used her for their wedding) and she was really nice and I already feel like I learned something. We're taking private lessons and they're only $70/lesson (which is a great price for private lessons) and there's a discount if you get a package.

We start tomorrow night! We're taking adult continuing ed, 10 weeks, 1 1/2 hour classes, less than $100 total.
That sounds like a great idea!

we are too.. we're going to meet with john from ballroom dancing 1/2 hour free session and if we like him we'll do a package of 4 1 hour sessions for $70 per session.. so $280.. i think it's a fun thing to do together.. and it'll help us kinda destress with all the stuff going on..
if you need more info, FM me. We're doing our free session on Tuesday..
My Dad and I took lessons with John of Ballroom dancing. FH and I have taken a couple of lessons as well. We plan to go for a few more whenever he is in town. John is great, and the lessons are a lot of fun too.
thanks for the recommendation on him.. he's great and FH was comfy enough to do the 4 hour package.. we're doing a foxtrot for our first dance and a salsa number and maybe a swing routine

We are aslo going to take lessos. Not only can't I believe FH agreed, but it was practically his idea! I can't wait! We may buy my parents lessons as well.
We're either going to Arthur Murray in Bay Shore, or studio in WIslip that Leighdvm recommended.

We're going to do Crystal Dance Studio. They have a wonderful program for $100.
Five ½ hour private lessons and five hours of group lessons for just $100.
I know a few girls used them. We probably won't start until May
