Playa del carmen in mexico we stayed at the Aventrua spa palace for 11 days including air and it was all inclusive for under 5k. it was so great we cannot wait to go back.

We did ours just under $5000 at Sandals Grande St. Lucia, including arifare. We didn't upgrade our room and it was awesome!

I really hope it doesn't end up running over $5000 but FH and I are planning to do Ireland. We figured we should take the chance to go somewhere on our honeymoon that we always wanted to go to and may never get the chance to go to for a looooooooooong time to come. Just have my fingers crossed that we can get a good deal through a great travel agent!

Yes, but it was 2 years ago & I am not sure how the prices have changed. It was also in January, so I am not sure if that made a difference. We had booked the Secrets in Punta Cana, including airfare for $3700, plus travel insurance.

We're doing the SAME exact thing Its costing us a little less tho because he gets a military discount and my uncle works for disney, but a cruise is def the way to go if your on a tight budget for the HM.

you can do a lot for under $5,000... all the vacations that we have taken last 6 years were all under 5,000 as a matter of fact all of them were under 4,000... you can go to Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico and even Hawaii (as long as you settle on staying on 1 island - we did Big Island)

We used my mom's timeshare in Aruba. The flight was $800 for both of us and the timeshare was $900 (we got an all inclusive package. So we spent MUCH less than $5,000!

Sandals. it was on sale [half price]. hotel and airfare well under 5k. i don't know that it's still on sale though.

our HM to Aruba came out to be $3500 total for a 5 nites at Radisson. That includes spending money. Some of our activities included jetskiing, renting a car one day and a 4x4 the next, going out to dinner somewhere nice every nite, souveniers, transfer to the airport, lunches and breakfasts, snorkelling around the island (we brought our own gear with us and went around the island at our own pace, gambling, and a few drinks poolside for me.
i think we didnt spend that much and DH doesnt drink so we saved money there.
