I wanted to know where you were staying, how did you book out, and how long you are going.
We want to go for 2 weeks, but from what I see the room rates are like 500 per night for STANDARD rooms. I thought we would stay in suites, but it isnt looking like that. Do you know of any cost effecient alternatives?

I found LOTS of Honolul hotels for like $200 per night. And theyre right on Waikiki beach! Check Hotels.com or Maui.net!

Early booking w/LB-$4500
Hawaii-Maui-7 nites/Oahu 3 nites Sheraton in Maui and Outrigger in Oahu. Includes car rental and Breakfast at Sheraton. Im forgetting some stuff...booked it 3/4 months ago.

We are but we still haven't finalized it...we know we want to stay at the Hyatt on Maui and Kuaui not sure of the Big Island and Oahu yet.

we did a travel agent (my dads friend)
we have the outrigger on waikiki for 5 nights in oahu
then we have 3 nights in sheraton poipu beach kaui
then we have 3 nights in the westin maui
total 11 nights 12 day

i've been calling a few travel agents for quotes. we're planning to do 4 nights on kaui, 6 nights on maui, and 2 nights on oahu. we're looking at the hyatt for all 3 islands. many ta's have packages where they can include breakfast, etc which saves a lot. i have heard thought that there are a lot of beautiful hotels in both maui and honolulu, so i'm sure you can find something that works within your budget.

Also... if you're not looking to spend a fortune on a hotel room, you might want to look into condo's to rent. They're much cheaper and still great!!!

We are! Spending 3 nights at the Sheraton Princess Kaiuilani in Waikiki only $129 per night! Then going on a week long cruise w/ Norwegian w/ a Balcony room which was about $1800/pp, but thats all inclusive other than drinks.....so overall not too bad!
