Not that I am in any way regretful of my HM decision-but I would have loved to go Tahiti!! FH is not a big fan of flying so we are taking a cruise out of Florida..If you can stand the flight definatly GO! I hear that it is outragous..(and kinda expensive)

a friend of mine just got back from Tahiti and she stayed in one of those overwater bungalows- she said it was amazing!!!

we were originally contemplating Tahiti, but it just got to be too expensive. I've heard great things about it so go for it!

We are gong to Tahait- we just booked it! WE are staying in Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahaa and Huahine- lots of islands but we are staying for over 2 weeks- cannot wait!

I have been looking at Tahiti. A friend of mine who worked on a cruise ship that went there said it was amazing. I have been looking at packages on www.tahitivacation.com. The prices don't look bad, but they are not always current. Still, it's worth a look.

I think it is 8 hours from LA so it would be that plus the trip from NY to LA which is another 4-5 hours...

In case you missed my review of my honeymoon to Tahiti, here is the site:
bora bora is the m ost important place to stay! don't waste too much time on the island of tahiti .. i would say no more than a day or two - just enough to go into the city of Papeete. Moorea is great ... Bora Bora though is the most amazing. you'll be stunned by how gorgeous it is.
we went for 11 days and payed about 7-8K i think (not sure anymore).
it's a 7-8 hour flight from california - which is a 5 hour flight from NY. try to fly air tahiti because that airline is amazing!
