Anyone going to the Big Island- Hawaii?

Hi all- just wondering where you are staying and as of now we are just making a pit stop there for one night. Do you think we should do 2? What else is there besides the volcano? Thanks!

I didn't go there. I do have a couple friends that went. One friend loved it and called it his favorite island. Besides volcanos, I think he said there were a lot of nature sights/parks. My other friend said it was nice to go but once you see one black sand beach - you had enough.

The 4 Seasons there is suppose to be amazing. My friend said it is 10x better than the one in Maui. She works for the 4 Seasons and actually recommend I don't go to the one in Maui (shhhh!) but higly recommended the one on Hawaii.

I also hear the Kona Village is great! (all inclusive but pricey).

I just looked up Kona Village and it does look very nice, but it is going to be closed the week that I am honeymooning!

tara--do you know how much a day trip from maui to the big island will cost???
