Anyone going to the dermatologist before the wedding?
I just made an appointment and think I will start on monthly chemical peels to give myself a glow for the wedding. Has anyone else done anything skin-wise in preparation for the wedding?

Hi! Hope you are getting a break from the conference! I am going to a dermatologist in Bay Shore (FM me for the # or I can give it to you later). I have never had a chemical peel before, but they sound good! I will let you know how it goes, I am going to him on the 21st...

I drank tons of water the couple of weeks/months before the wedding and went for a vitamin c facial about a week before the wedding (they make your skin glow).
Be careful with the insurance - that's technically fraud since cosmetic work is not generally covered by medical insurance.

***** Be careful in the sun after chemical peels!!! Avoid the sun or wear a sunscreen with a high SPF.

Thanks, I will take down his info! Don't want to get him in trouble Before my peel at least!

Thanks Jules! I am so pale already, I always have to wear sunscreen My father has had skin cancer so I need to be checked out by the dermatologist anyway. Last time I went at SB hospital and they had all the residents examine my (mostly naked) body with goggles on to examine me for cancerous spots

Be careful with the peels especially now that it's the summertime. Don't go out without at least SPF 30 slathered on you.
I went to mine but he gave me minocycline for acne and some medication to put on my face. I bought some chemical peel in Duane Reade but I doubt it helped much.
