Re: Anyone had an e-party in a park?
Ours was actually at my Aunts house. She has a huge in ground pool and they had someone bbq, they rented tables and chairs. Price for everything I don't know b/c it was actually a surprise engagement moving away party. It was an upstate redneck theme. That's b/c we now live upstate and let me tell you it was the best party ever. Everyone had a blast since it was outside and a bbq. I think a park is a great idea!

I know Queens County Farm has a covered outdoor Pavilion that you can rent for about $500 for 4 hours.....You could also right the barn for about $1,000....

honestly, this is what i wanted to do, but FH proposed in Nov. so it was going to be too chilly for an e-party. i'm a stickler for the 3 month rule (an e-party shouldnt be more than 3 months after the proposal) so we didn't have one at all.
in the end --- i love the idea!!!

you could do it at a beach if you have one in your town that has picnic shelters. The town beaches in Huntington all have picnic areas with grills and tables, etc.

or one of the covered areas at Jones Beach can be rented out.
There is a place called Old Stone House (http://www .theoldstonehouse.org/) in Brooklyn that is $200 for 4 hours. The allow you to bring catering in!
