Anyone had Ecoli before?

UGH.......I haven't been feeling good at all so I went to the doctor on Friday......they phoned me today and told me that I have ecoli. I feel soooooooo icky right now......nausea, cramps.....all that NON fun stuff.

Anyone ever have this? How long does it last for?

we were planning to go to the myan riveria, but then decided against it because, although it was a great price, it wasn't an adults only resort, so my hubby and I have decided to go to Canada in December and stay at a ski resort for a week .......

I have... our entire office got sick from food at our staff retreat about 2 1/2 yrs ago. It was awful.

You'll be ok after a few days but follow your doctor's instructions TO THE LETTER. you don't want to mess around with this stuff. drink lots of water too so you stay hydrated.

Did they give you antibiotics?

It definitely will clear up in several days.... let me just give you something to laugh about
(we have lots of giant microbes in our home, and your friend hangs out by our bathroom cabinets...

After the taco bell ecoli LI DEMIC, I got ecoli! I just took micro medical biology and had to examine ecoli under a microscope. It looks yucky...haha but fortunatly its normal to have a certain amount of ecoli in your intestinal tract everyone has it. Its just when you have too much that it becomes a nuisance!! You must drink PLENTY of water and once its all out you will be fine, you dont NEED antibiotics but its may help fight it quicker. You should be 100% better in 24-36 hours. Hang in there!!! And feel better.

Thanks everyone.......

I am drinking lots of water, but it's sooooooo not fun! BLAH! I want to take tomorrow off of work, but not sure if my boss will for that after being off for the wedding.

Is it contagious?

I don't think it's contageous.... I believe you really catch it from food contamination

keep your chin up.... it's pretty painful, but it goes away faster than the flu..... by midweek you should be feeling 90% better...
