by New York standards, I don't think my wedding is that big (200-225 hopefully). But when I say the number to other people I get a 'WOW' reaction.

Comparatively our wedding isn't that big (230 invited - at least at the moment!) and while I don't regret inviting that many, every time I go buy something and it has to be multiplied by 200, I want to !

im not sure what you consider big...we invited 272 and have our final count at 212
i do think we could have done it smaller but its too late

Mine isn't HUGE but it's bigger than what I wanted. I wanted a small wedding on the beach with just close family and friends - FH and FIL's had other plans!
ETA- Our wedding party is rediculously huge!!!!
1- BM, 1- MOH, 9- GMs, 9- BMs, 1- FG, 1-RB add that to the bride and the groom and we have a grand total of 24 people!!!!!

I really thought ours would be bigger--- considering we both come from 2 pretty big Italian families--- Invited 234.

I wish I could have a biiger wedding, but we just didn't have the budget for it. We invited 160 - looking to have 100 - 120. We had to cut a lot of people off, initally our list was about 250

we cut our list drastically
we started at around 300 and got it down to 230 (not including vendors, guests for our friends that aren't in relationships, etc.)
we have a 40 person B-list though just in case since our minimum is 150
