Anyone have a computer w/ a DVD burner & know how to use it?!

DH bought us a new desktop computer a month or so ago. It has a DVD burner in the tower, but we have NO clue how to use it, or even what type of blank DVDs to buy... where can you get them, like Best Buy or something? I want to try and burn a copy of our wedding DVD to send to my aunt & uncle in Washington, since their kids were in the wedding and they haven't seen it yet.

Just buy them at Staples or any store. You have to get DVD not CD. When you insert the wedding video your media software should ask you if you want to burn it, click yes and follow the prompts.

I would go to staples or best buy and ask them which dvd-r's you are to use that would be best. Then I believe you can even use windows media player to burn it, if I am not mistaken. That is all I got . Sorry :(

I use Sonic. It came with my operating system. It lets me copy the cd then burn it to the dvd..it's really easy..but I can't copy movies or anything cause it has a coating on it..but it will let you make a copy and burn your wedding!

when you burn dvd's you need to know which type + or - to select for your dvd player. I had to do - i think (my brain is not working) just write down what dvd player you have and they can tell you.

Oh... but what if it's a gift for someone and you don't know what DVD player they have?
