to dance??? I am worried I am going to be out on the dance floor tearing it up at the wedding and FH will be standing drinking a beer watching!

It is not that my FH hates to dance, it is just that he likes slow dancing more than fast. I am going to be on the dance floor with my family and friends too.

My FH likes to dance a little but not much. At the wedding I was mostly dancing with my brothers and stuff. He tried to dance salsa with me and he looked sooo cute trying.

yep...he hates to dance. I dragged him to dance lessons and Im so glad I did because we would have ****ed so bad if we didnt spend a good deal of time preparing. Even though he wont admit it, the lessons have made him a lot more comfortable with dancing in general.

My FH HATES to dance (unless he is VERY drunk). I KNOW this will be a problem because I like to dance.

Sounds like my life.....lol. Any wedding I have been to where the groom is usually a wall hugger, the bride has been surprised at his participation at thier wedding.

totally my FH... we've had this dicussion many times. Who know's how it'll go... I wanted to go for lessons but he wouldn't hear of it. I'm so afraid that it'll be like my friends wedding where she danced w/us & he was at the bar all night drinking and watching the game w/ his friends!

Drunk or not- FH does NOT like to dance... he says he'll give me slow songs only! We're talking about it- and he's starting to come around to say he'll dance a little bit at the wedding. I hope he wants to go for lessons or something that will make him more comfortable.

Wow, I am definitely a minority on this one. My FH LOVES!!!!!!!!! to dance. We go dancing every weekend and he dances til 3 am when I am TIRED!!!!!

Minority here too!! Took him a while to step away from the wall, I must admit. He dances more now than I thought he would. He doesn't dance spanish music very well, especially salsa but he tries. Its the cutest thing to see him on the dance floor trying his butt off!

We were the opposite I hated to dance, had no rhythm, couldn't hear a beat, and we took lessons. Now I love it

You are not alone my friend - FH not only HATES to dance, but is a total metal head (listens to alternative too)....and is freakingout about the music selection list sent to us by the DJ. I said 'Honey, you didn't honestly think they were going to rock out on Metallica all night did you?' He just wants to make sure they will play some rock, in addition to some dance music.
I thought, to make it interesting and to get him more involved to have a bet going among guests, that the DJ would run. Have on a piece of poster board something like 'How many times will the groom be seen on the dance floor tonight?'...have guests make their predictions (without having the same # twice). Then, during the course of the night, have the DJ mention the board, to get FH up on the floor (keeping a tally of everytime he is seen). At the end of the night, whoever was closest wins a bottle of champagne. Who knows if I'll really do it!!

My FH hates to dance too but knows he'll have to at least get up a few times to make me happy!! The only problem is when he does dance he makes this face like he's constipated So mabye I should just let him sit lol.

My DH hates to dance, but was a dancing machine at our wedding!!!!! He felt that it was his wedding and he was going to be out on the floor all night enjoying it!! He's no John Travolta, but he did fine!!

He wont he practice dancing to our song in our living him. He equates dancing with rocking back and forth! Too funny! Hopfully he will come around at the wedding. I always wanted to choerograph a dance that would start out with a slow song and then all the sudden bust into some crazy John Travlota routine. People would totally not expect it and it would be hysterical! FH seriously thought about admitting me to the mental ward when I came up with that idea! Well, I'll lett you know how is goes 38 days from TODAY! YEAH

MY FH doesn't love to dance but we have an agreement that at weddings he has to dance. He usually sticks to that,o f course after a few drinks, but its better then nothing. Thankfully, he says he will dance alot at our wedding but we will have to see.
