Anyone have a good doctor for veins? SIL having major issues...

Hi girls,

My sil just had her second baby and unfortunately the pregnancy hasn't been very generous to her legs.

She is being told a million things by the two doctors she is going to, and has been on the heparin (sp?) shots.

They considered putting something in the leg Sunday, however, long story short, the doctor changed the scenerio again.... leaving her very upset and confused.

She is willing to travel to LI if anyone knows of anyone. She has severe spider veins, and was told clots...although this has been changed three times already.

Without ANY babies yet, I actually also have spider veins. They haven't caused any issues other making me feel self conscious. My amazing dermatologist recommended who she says is the 'best vein doctor in NYC' and I trust my derm because she is a celebrity derm that appears frequently on Good Morning America.

So, without further ado... the vein doctor (who I was told was a slightly weird genius, haha - never met him) is: Dr. Kenneth Biegeleisen.

does she have clots on her legs?i mean blockages?u have to be very careful when u r on heparin(i was at one point)

is she planning on having more children? i went to a doctor for veins and they told me not to do anything til after i'm done with kids b/c it keeps coming back with pregnancies.

Well though I've never been to him, I heard that Luis Navarro in Manhattan is good. My dermatologist recommended him. I'm thinking of having the injections for spider veins.. I was already warned that if I have a child, they'll come back but I'm still considering it.

I had varicose veins in my legs (genetic) for YEARS, and I hated them so much. I actually had minor surgery where they put an electrode through a small opening in my leg and closed up some of the major/non-functioning veins. My leg looks about 2000 times better. My doctor's name was Xenophon P. Xenophontos (I sh*t you not!) I had it a year and a half ago. My doc is located in Garden city. I put a link for him below. Really nice guy.
