I am going tomorrow to check out my dress with my mom, sis, and one of my girls...I am excited but I heard from another friend that she got her dress at Macy's along with her BM dresses a few years back and had a lot of problems...Should I worry about this?

the smithaven macys bridal pissed me off big time... i had a lady that was super rude to me because i wanted to try on a maggie sottero dress... then when i told her i wanted to be alone in the dressing room she got even more obnoxious, so i ended up walking out... i have also heard some girls who had a great experiences... i think it depends on which salesperson you get to help you...

I ordered my dress from the Macys at Smithhaven Mall, & they were so nice. I had a bad experience at the one in Manhasset. But if you go to the one in SMithhaven Mall ask to see Luann she is wonderful!!

they dont have maggies anymore. i told the girl i wanted to be alone in the dressing room, that that's how i tried on dresses at every other salon i went to and she insisted on coming in with me. i didn't like it at all! i agree, your experience will depend on who helps you. ~lacey

I went to the one in smithaven and the lady that helped me was SOOO sweet. If you are confy with the salesperson than just make sure you gt appointment with her bc it seems as if some people shouldnt be there.
My FSIL got her dress and all BM dresses there and they were GORGEOUS and wonderful everytime we went.

I ordered my gown from the Macy's at the smithaven mall. I had a GREAT experience. Elizabeth helped me. She is wonderful! So nice and helpful. I just went to Macy's to try on gowns but being I had such great experiences with Elizabeth I just ordered it there.

I thought Macys was great BUT expensive and as far as the alterations..they nickel and time you for everything...my friend got her dress from there (the Manhasset location) and the alterations were a fortune!

I walked out on Smithhaven too! They made me wait around forever, and then they were rude to me. I had no problems there 3 years ago as a bm, though.

So far I've had nothing but good experiences with the Macy's in Manhasset, but I can't speak to the other locations. Nellie was incredibly helpful there!

I went yesterday and I have to say it all went well...I dealt with a woman named Evellyn and she was great...we were pulling dresses left and right...we gave her a good work out and she was happy to help...(Lake Grove Smithaven Mall location) I got my dress and a veil...still looking for a tiarra! I want a big one! Queen for a day!! hee hee
