I put one together this year and everything is starting to grow... I am unsure of when to pick a few things though-- any experienced gardeners??
I dunno when to pick my carrots or dill!

Re: Anyone have a vegetable garden?
I don't have a garden per se, but we planted two types of tomatoes, cucumbers and green beans in large pots. I've been plucking the green beans and throwing them into my salad every night -- yummy!

Re: Anyone have a vegetable garden?
our dill has been ready for the picking for about a month now....
we just pick the vegetables when they look ripe and ready.
but we have no underground veggies....so i'm not sure about carrots

Hi I have planted carrots! when you see them coming out of the ground is when they are ready to be plucked out. Mine grew ( last year) all twisted but they were yummy, very sweet. as soon as you see the orange by the stem they are ready!

we have dill for the same reason
when it starts to get little flowers on top, then it's past ready to be picked...i think you can use the stuff below the little yellowish flowers.
this is why DH does all of the gardening

Had those flowers for a while. Do you happen to have a good pickle recipe??
