Anyone Have a Wedding At Eastwind ?

My sister had her wedding at Eastwind. I loved it! I like the estate grounds by my concern is that if it rains will the inside be nice for pictures?

Also the room looks to have the green walls, im worried that will take away from the beauty ????

Any thoughts?

Now the inn is when you first walk into the main building right?

im worried about having other parties or ppl around that are not invited. I want to feel like I am the only bride hehehehe.

I had my wedding at the estate! I loved every minute of it and Wish I could go back to enjoy someone else's wedding too! It was beautiful!

We had a gorgeous day so people were outside and inside for the cocktail hour and we were able to take pictures outside...

We loved the look of the estate, and we loved the victorian aspects, including the green walls... you can see some pics in my album too...

because it was at the estate, I felt I was a 'one wedding' bride

oh wow i love it! So nice. Im just affraid what if is not nice? Did they show you where you would take pics if the weather was bad?

What months did you have your wedding?

My SIL got married at the Estate in September. It wound up raining so we had to take pics indoors. We did it in the little lobby area right in front of the fireplace - I think it was pretty

Oh its nice def. Anywhere else they take pics or mostly infront of the fire place.

Ugh damm weather hehehehehe.

I'm really not sure if they took pics anywhere else. We did family pics and then we were 'released' to go to cocktail hour - the food was delicious, by the way!

We're booked at East WInd as well but we're in the main buildings Northampton room. (I felt the same way about the green walls. We've all got different taste, thats why they have different styles to choose from) We have a seperate enterance from the other ballroom and dont share bathrooms with other functions. I know what you mean about having other parties going on at the same time, but the way the buildingis layed out...I wasnt worried about that.
Our ceremony is outside so if it rains, they can bring us inside to a room thats always set up for energency bad weather ceremonies.
I have some pictures of the lobby area and patio for the coctail hour on my knot bio if you want to take a look.

WOW thanks so much .. that helped alot.. I love that room!!!! And I guess you just tell them that your looking for privacy and they show you how no one can come in or anything and its like your on your own. Thats the northhampton room? I love IT.. how many ppl you having?

the pics would be in the lobby area I suppose- which is very pretty- there is a nice fireplace- I tried not to let the idea of rain come into my mind and we had a gorgeous day- in July.,
We also took pics at the beach beforehand- maybe you can have somewhere else to take pics in the area in case of bad weather...

the estate is soooo pretty- but we all have different tastes- I imagine it is a place where some will HATE and others will LOVE- we loved it

Our wedding will be at the Estate at East Wind- we fell in love with the whole look of the Estate. The great thing about EW is that they have 3 very different options to choose from. I also think that there are other photo ops within each building and the Inn as well.
