Do people expect it? My soon to be sister in law spent $2000 on an engagement part that was a big flop!! My FH and I are just going to have a
BarB-Q and Keg party the weekend of the 4th of July and just call it our engagement party. My crowd is young , I cant see doing anything formal , no can I afford it.
The keg party sounds fun! But I have old folks coming and more on his side so I don't think it would be appropriate. Although.... now that I think of it many do drink beer. Would it be cheaper with a keg or bottles? crzycat420 you have me thinking... The old folks can enjoy it and reminisce of their younger years!
I FIGURED IT OUT A BBQ / LUAU / KEG PARTY !!
We're having ours at Mulcahys in Wantagh. Kind of a formal/informal engagement party. It also happens to be where we met, so we thought it extra fitting. The bbq/keg party/luau sounds like a blast. Have a great time!
We had one also - it was just a small gathering in my FH's house. Nothing formal at all.
