Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
We've been looking at reception halls and are leaning towards the Crest Hollow. Before we put down a deposit we were wondering if anyone has any good or bad stories to share.

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
I am having my wedding there next November. I really fell in love with the place. The negative that a lot of people have about the place is that there is more than one affair going on at a time. I did talk to a lot of people who have had their weddings there and they did not even know another affair was going on. The people at Crest Hollow try to book the weddings so they are all not starting at the same time.

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
We had 3 affairs there before. My Bat-mitzvah and my brothers Bar-mitzvahs
That was like 15 years ago and ppl STILL talk about it.
There food and service is one of the best.
Yes, there are others parties going on.. thats the only negative thing.. but you usually dont hear or see to much of anyone else.. they do a great job of really making you and your guests feel like they are the only ones there.

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
A colleague of mine got married there two years ago. Even though there are several events going on at the same time, she said she didn't hear or see anything. She raved about the place! Good luck!

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
I know, my wedding is a year away and already I am curious. I am also having my ceremony there and they will not tell me which room that is in either. I am having the reception in the Empire room. Please let me know how everything goes. My moms friend went there this past weekend for an affair and said it was amazing.

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
I can't wait! The Empire room is the other half of the Suburban room. Every time I tell someone that is where we are having reception, they always RAVE about it. I have really high expectations, and I hope they live up to it! It really is a beautiful place, and really spacious.

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
I'm getting married at the CHCC in May. Kris please give an update on your wedding. I'm sure everything will be beautiful. Did you pick a cake from one of the choices they gave you? How many choices of cakes do we get?

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
We just picked the cake that was included. It was basic and we weren't interested in a fancy cake. They showed a lot of cakes with that fondant icing- which I hear doesn't really taste good. Looks pretty though. We also weren't interested in paying a couple hundred bucks for cake. Just our opinion. Just beware, I felt that their upgrades were pricey. Though we did add the shrimp cocktail to the cocktail hour (my mom demanded it - we said she was nuts). They wanted 2.50/pp for the intermezzo (sorbet). We are having almost 150 pp so that would amount to 300 bucks for SHERBERT!!!! Plus tax and 18% gratuity! NUTS!

Was there only one included cake? The rest were extra? What about cookie platters, did they mention those? This is a feast of information!

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
cookie platters are extra.Shrimp Cocktail = $6/pp ( they only charge for adults, but still)
I don't know how much anything else was.
There was only 1 included cake. It is pretty standard looking- white buttercream icing. We chose chocolate cake with fudge filling.

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
House vendors are 1/2 price. Somehow we were able to negotiate that ANY vendor was 1/2 price in our contract.

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
Just wanted to add that I had my reception here in June and everything was wonderful. We had the Suburban room also, and it is gorgeous. The food is great, you all made a good decision. Only one cake is included, I of course like a different one that was $200. We also added the shrimp cocktail and the Viennese hour. Well worth it, we had so many raves from our guests, and we enjoyed ourselves as well!

Re: Anyone have anything to say about the Crest Hollow Country Club
I was married at CHCC, and it was beautiful!!! Had ceremony indoors, as it was raining that morning - they did a fantastic job! Had cocktail hour in the Emerald Room downstairs, which was EXACTLY what I wanted!!! Then, the reception was upstairs in the Suburban Room (if that's the name of one half of the grand ballroom - that's where I had it). It was perfect!!! You picked a great place!!!Welcome New Vendors
