Is she someone that no one stands up to? If that's the case, try to get your FH to tell her what she needs to do.
I don't know if this will help you, but when his sister told him that we should be honored that she flew out of the wedding, that she got the dress and that she's showing up, he said, 'You're lucky that you're even in the bridal party and that my fiance hasn't kicked your a$$ out.' I followed it with my own 'Shut up and do what you're told' the morning of the wedding and it all worked out just fine.
It stinks to deal with people like that. good luck

well, my situation is similar...
all my bm's loved the bm dress, and have been very responsive to my MOH, EXCEPT for my FSIL....she was the only one that didn't love the dress, she shows no interest and no excitement in the wedding or any activities related to the wedding (shower, bachelorette party), and it's like pulling teeth trying to get a response out of her.
it ***** but there isn't much I can do about it

yeah, she is not a BM but her daughter is the flower girl. she gave us all kinds of issues about the dress... I made him deal with it.

yeah I am trying that but she's difficult...
I finally said today if it's too much trouble she doesn't have to be in the wedding.. I mean today she wanted my itinery from the photographer to see what time we could hold off until she can get to the house to take pictures.. check me if I'm wrong.. but aren't BM's supposed to help with the bride the day of??? not show up like 5 min before the church.. right.... and she told me she needs sleep and has to have her hair done by the guy who usually does it so it has to be this way.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I asked him to handle it but he's too nice and I'm afraid she will walk all over him.....
I don't want there to be bad blood over all this... so how do you nicely say ' show up on time b----' LOL

sounds like she wants a way out - maybe you should tell her that it sounds like its too much for her and let her back out this way you dont have t odeal with the stress

Re: anyone have difficulties with sister of FI, and how did you handle it?
My DH has two Sisters. One is a gem..the other... . THANKFULLY we both knew this ahead of time and had no problem with not including her in the bridal party. Yes...you read right...we did not include her. She very dramatic and no matter what could be said or done it was never good enough for her and her family, so we took the 'easy' way out and avoided the nonsense ahead of time and did not bother including her. As it was she refused to show up for family pictures at 8:30...so she is not going to be in the albums..., but we expected this.
Since she's showing her true colors now....ask FH to speak to her. If she wants to back out...this would be the perfect time before an argument occurs and causes a problem in the relationship.

My FI's sister is not coming to our wedding-over BP issues and her being preggers-
but I feel your pain -I feel like I got cheated with the whole in law thing....

Re: anyone have difficulties with sister of FI, and how did you handle it?
I feel very bad about one of my FSIL - FH has two brothers and two sisters - i love all of them but one FSIL is very difficult and unreliable - even her parents said not to include her in the wedding party - so i feel really guilty she will be the only one not in the bridal party and one of FHs cousins is a BM too but i was in her bridal party and we are very close where as FSIL and I are not close at all. I think its also caused some tension between the younger FSIL who is in the bridal party b/c she and i are very close and spend more time together than the older sister does and i think shes getting a little jealous.
I think you are doing the right thing by having her in your party. I feel very badly about my decision. Maybe FH can have a talk with her. but some people are just difficult to deal with. or maybe you can talk to FMIL about how to handle her?

If she needs to be at your house by ( i woul dtell her she absouletly had to be there at 8 if you already know she will be late - and that way shes on time can you 'amend' the itinerary?

That why I'm glad that my FSIL are all old and are not in my wedding party. I know for a fact it they were in the wedding, they would make me want to smack them. I hate to say this, but they all look so stressed out like they all need a good F**** and a good meal. I reaally don'y want that representing my entrance down the aisle. They are helping me with the glasses and some religious readings.
