Anyone have naturally curly hair on here? Up-do quest...

I am trying to find an up-do for naturally curly hair...and cannot seem to find any samples. Help!!!! I have checked all these boards and the knot.

Me!! I had THE TOUGHEST time...until I found Maria from Concourse D'Elegance she is ONLY one that used my natural curl in all of my trial!!

i know anytime ive gotten an updo done..the hair stylists have always straightened my hair first and then styled it however i wanted it...so maybe just go with whatever u like and they can do it..or atleast work with u on it......thats what i plan on doing.

me too....that's what I plan on doing although my hair is pretty curly....I hate the frizz factor on my curls so I need some mega-styling!

Thanks for the thread. My hair is super curly. I don't think that a curly hairdo will work for me I think it will have to be straightened.

Same here with the up do. They always straighten my hair first.

I am wearing my hair down with just the front pulled back and then using a curling iron for some big curls.

I'm having it straightened too. I've been told that loose curls can tend to look stringy or messy by the end of the day.

I have wavey hair but my maid of honor has extremely tight curly hair and we are having similiar concerns..

I absolutely LOVE natural curls with updos...they just look so soft & elegant
