It's a sub-zero. Couldn't tell you if it's better than a Viking, but DH would know. He researched the fridge for about 2 weeks. It's the only thing that our builder couldn't get us a discount on LOL Figures. The rest of the stuff in our kitchen we were given at trade, about 30% of retail, so it was worth it to upgrade all the appliances now.

LisaRose - is the fridge that you posted a Kenmore Elite - the armoire design w/freezer on the bottom? I love that fridge! I hate side-by-sides too, and this fridge is a great compromise. Plus, it's more logical to have the freezer on the bottom (heat rises).
Of course, if we could afford a SubZero, I'd love that too...but, I'd be joking myself that we could spend that much on a fridge right now.

Jenn, I think Sub-Zero and Viking are pretty comparable, but Sub-Zero definitely has the name in the refrigeration industry.
Actually, the one I'm eyeing is by Northland. 48.3 cubic feet baby!! Yeah! (24/24)

My FSIL has a fridge like that...its enormous! In her last house her fridge matched the cabinets...I thought it was pretty cool!

From what I was told, there's only one dealer on Long Island that sells Sub-Zeros...you better see if he has a registry first!

I have Sub Zero fridge/freeze Amana Dishwasher and a commercial stove
I lucked out with the whole stainless steel appliance things
The only thing if you really want them to think about is they leave fingerprints on them, MAJOR PRINTS!!!

Helps get rid of finger prints and dirt.
We used it on all the equipment when my aunt had her yogurt shop. Refrigerator, soft serve machines...basically anything that was stainless steel.
