North Ritz Club, Watermill, Milleridge Cottage, Areca, The Meadow Club, Westbury Manor or Sans Souci? These are some of the halls Im going to. If there are negatives I'd like to here those just as well. If you have any pictures of the rooms set up please forward them. Looking at an empty room and being told how it will look is never as good as seeing it for your self. I would love it if you could peak at the rooms while an actual wedding is going on. Jericho Terrace is the only place I knew that did that!

Re: Anyone have or been to a wedding at...
I got married at Westbury Manor and loved it. Here are a few pics. I am sorry but I haven't been to weddings at the other places you mentioned.
I have heard wonderful things about most of the places you suggest. Although one of the brides loved it, my experience with Areca was not a positive one at all.
I had an appointment with Andres (I believe he is the BM) and when we showed up (on time, mind you) we were told he was still with another couple that had arrived late. OK, fine. We sat and waited for him....we saw him walk back and forth a few times with the other couple and he said nothing to us, but definitely saw us sitting in the lobby. 40 minutes later, without saying a word to him (because he STILL hadn't acknowledged us) we left. He didn't call me to apologize, reschedule or anything, even though he had all of my phone numbers.
Hopefully I'm the exception, not the rule when it comes to dealing with them because it looks like a decent facility.

I had practically the SAME EXACT experience!!! I thought it was extremely rude.

I've been to 3 weddings at the Meadow Club and I have absolutely NO complaints about any of them. It's very nice there and the food was great.
Soooo glad to hear :)

Of course I vote for Watermill..I have been a wedding there and am getting married there. The main resons were the staff attentiveness...we get so many people as far as waiters etc that I knew things would flow smoothly...The food was some of the best we ever tasted and the decor was more our style then other places...I was VERY picky...I turned down places just based on dance floors...and I'm excited about getting married there. There were places decor wise we loved a little more, but heard bad things about Food etc so we stuck with the place we heard nothing bad about plus loved.
Have you gone to all the places you mentioned yet?
I've been only to the Sans Souci to look for us. I've been to weddings at the coral house, fox hollow, floral terrace and worked at jericho terrace along time ago. We passed the swan club but didn't go in, same with the woodbury country club, george washington manor and a few others. They just didn't grab me when we pulled up and let me state for my own personal reasons this is in NO way to put down anyone elses decisions on going there. It seemed to tick some brides off because I stated my reasons for not going to some of the halls and I haven't heard the end of it, so again this is only MY opinion. I would however, appreciate on this topic that I have posted any negative as well as positive feed back on halls visited so that I can narrow down MY decisions and GOOD LUCK to all other brides being married in halls that I have not chosen

So glad to hear this!! I am in my cousins wedding there next July! I can't wait. She is marrying our best friend (We 'hooked' them up) I am so excited for them. She was going to look into Watermill but she didnt want to have 'my' wedding (they are also getting married at my church). I told her 'Are you kidding, I'd love to be a GUEST @ the Watermill' They chose Meadow Club and I will have to tell her about your review. She will be very excited!

Re: Anyone have or been to a wedding at...
I am having the ceremony and the reception at the Meadow Club. I know people say that only 2 weddings could be at the same time, BUT we are having an afternoon wedding with ceremony starting at 12:30pm in the big room. Unless there is a wedding with a max of 100 we will be the only one's. The reception will be over by 6pm so if another wedding is coming in we will be leaving. I searched 10 places and all did not give me the flexibility and quality with the price, that I got at the Meadow Club. Check them out because your opinion may be different. I have been to weddings at the Watermill and they were nice to, but if you have your ceremony there keep in mind about the road behind you so make sure you are mic'd. Good Luck and Congrats. If you bk. the MC FM.
