Anyone have the cake at the Westbury manor?

Has anyone recently had wedding cake at the WM? Ive been hearing mixed reviews about it? But since its under new mgmt I was wondering if anything has changed... TIA

Good question. Although even if i was told it was bad, I don't think I would go and spend the extra money to get a cake. Its not that important to me.

I just finalized my menu and picked out a cake. I heard mixed reviews too but I too dont want to spend the extra money on a cake- most of the guest that time are drunk anyway, lol, but I got the chocolate fountain and the 3 tier trays for each table. ah they have so much food prior to dessert I dont think they will have much room anyhows, but I will let you guys know. I get married next month ahhhhhhhhhhhh

the cake at my wedding was FABULOUS. I had vanialla sponge with chocolate mousse and fresh stawberries, whipped cream icing.

It was fresh & fluffy and perfect. I ate it that night & the Sunday after. I still have 1/2 my top to eat on my 1st anniversary.

i had it a few weeks ago. it was not bad, but definitely wasn't the best thing i've had! it was definitely OK though - so not to worry!

When I got married there they were using Erga Bakery to make their cakes. You can go there. The woman was nice and let me taste a few pastries to get ideas for fillings.

Oh really, thats good to know, Im going there next week to get all the extras in writing, so ill have to find out which bakery they are using now... thanks for the info

Hi..I just wanted to let everyone know that I went to my cousin's wedding last night at Westbury Manor and it was very nice. The service was excellent , the food was great. For everyone who is concerned about the cake, don't worry because it was very tasty. It was not dry at all and I didn't hear any complaints from anyone!!!!!!

Reporting back...I didn't like the cake (thought it was v. dry), but FH thought it was great and ate the rest of my piece.

However, all other food was great and the other dessert was v. good.
