I passed by the new AOL building and there were cops in riot gear carrying AK47's... And now my FH just told me that there were about 30 cops outside his building on 6th ave...
Is something going on????

Stop it! Let's all relax...I apologize, I'm usually the first one to panic... But...as I told my FH, we're true New Yorkers when seeing the police around actually makes us MORE nervous than not seeing them around...
I was at the new AOL building (Hugh Jackman was signing autographs, but I missed him ) I hated it inside...It reminded me of the WTC. I had to leave...So I took a walk uptown and on my way back down I saw the cops...
I don't know why they were there...
We probably walked past eachother!
It does remind me of the WTC. Totally weird.

Are those the sirens I'm hearing??? I'm on 6th and 51st. What building are they outside??? Maybe someone is finally strangling the head of my company.
And I was at the AOL building earlier today too....
I am on Lexington btwn 51/52 and I just heard some sirens. However, the police and fire houses are downstairs.

It's possible. I was in Borders in there around 3:00 and then walked by the outside again around 3:30...It literally made my stomach turn-how much it reminded me.

It was extremely un-nerving to see the cops in riot gear with machine guns...I almost had a heart attack. Then my FH (on 47th and 6th) told me that he had seen about 30 cops by his building earlier.
I see this crap every time I go outside (I'm on wall street). I hate it.
