Anyone have their dress custom made?

Just wondering who went this route? Would love to see some pictures!

I had my dress custom made by a woman in Washington Heights.

I'm wondering the same thing. Of course, you don't have to post it .......

I'm more curious if it's cheaper to go the custom route than it would be to purchase from a salon?

I LOVE the material on reem's dresses, but not crazy about all that embroidery and stuff going on. I want just a plain dress with silk satin material........

I have a lot of searching to do.

I purchased a dress already, but it wasn't what I thought it would be in Ivory.......so now I'm back to the beginning of my dress search again with only 6 months left......

I used Robin, her shop is called Designs on You. It is in Port Jefferson Station on Terryville Rd (right off of 347). Her number is 631-473-6363.

Mine was made to look like an EOM gown and it cost me around $2000. Thats a huge drop from the designer price of $6000 - $8000
