I was at my FS/BILs house tonight and they have it, and it's SOOOO cool. They live in Brooklyn though, and I was wondering if anyone has it that has Cablevision. From what I understand though, it doesn't matter what you have. I think I'm going to order it. I'm in love with the concept!

I LOVE TiVo!!!!
It is one of the best inventions ever made. I never have to worry about putting a tape in the VCR when I'm not homw. I record 3 soaps daily and now I don't have to worry about having a bunch of tapes stacking up if I don't have time to watch them.
Once you have TiVo you will never watch TV the same way. I rarely watch live TV anymore. If I do, I love the fact that you can pause it if the phone rings, you need to go to the kitchen, etc.... It works with most cable and satellite providers.
FM me if you have any specific questions (They are one of our clients at work, so I have been through training on the DVR)

You can buy TIVO everywhere! I bought them at Best Buy. I love it and I am getting my FI his own when we move in together. My TIVO is so overloaded already, I can't start taping his stuff too. I am the biggest fan ever of TIVO. I even got my parent's TIVO for Christmas and they are not technical people at all. They love it. They are as addicted as me

I love my TIVO!!! I never miss a show and DH never misses the Simpsons!! We will never get rid of it!! If it ever gets too expensive for us, we'll starve before we get rid of the TIVO!!

i don't know how we ever survived before tivo.

we've been 'paying it forward'... we buy it for people for their weddings, housewarming, etc. ever since we were given one as a wedding present.

Really? That's pretty cool! I ordered it. Now I can't wait until it comes in. Do you find it really hard to explain to people who have no idea what it is. Oh my god... It's like staring at a deer in headlights... I was talking about it over Easter Dinner and I had to explain myself a million and one times. UGH...
It's one of those things that you have to demonstrate, not talk about...

OMG...we LOVE TIVO!!! I got it for DH last year for his B-day...we got a coupon for it through DirectTV....$179 for the unit and we have the biggest DTV package...so they waived the monthly fee for us!!!
It seriously changes the way you watch TV....it's great!!!
