anyone have/want?

tattoos don't hurt as bad as people say they do.
I'm PETRIFIED of needles, but have two tattoos and want more. Although FMIL and FFIL HATE tattoos, they have no idea I have TWO! and if they knew they'd prob never speak to me again.

I personally don't like the idea of being 'branded' as bad as that sounds. Personally I know several people that have gotten tattoos of their hubby/wife and they seem to be the ones that have broken up.. I might be looking too far into it... but just things I've picked up.

My friends got 'matching' tattoos on their honeymoon, on their wrists (only place left NOT tattoo'd lol) they got the symbols for husband and wife


If you WANT a tattoo GET ONE! make sure it's something of special meaning.. don't be like me and get one on impulse, I hate one of mine.

I have 11 tattoos one of which is amore on my wrist which I'm sure you all know is Italian for love. I am 100% Irish so its not about me lol my fh is Italian so its to symbolize my love for him. I'm really into tattoos and just so you girls know in the tattoo world it is bad luck to have your loves name or initials out on your body (and trust me I know from experience) so I would recommend brainstorming about unique ways to show your love on your body but its up to you just wanted to give my 2 cents!

I have a few tats...when we set our date I started joking that day that I was going to get it inked on me.
Now I'm looking into different designs for it
Though I'm saving for a wedding, so I don't think I should spend $$$ on more ink. Sigh..

He doesn't have any tats. He loves mine but isn't into them for himself.

As far as names...I'm not into it for myself, but that's what tattoos are - a representation of something personal to you. So, whatever works for you and whatever you want to express is up to you. Just as I dislike when people criticize mine, I'd never critique someone else's choices.

As far as the ring tattoo goes, if you were really serious about it, I'd just say to do very extensive research on someone that can do it for you. It's small and detailed, so you'll want someone with experience in that particular kind of design. See if someone in the area has done a lot of them and check their portfolio for the kinds they have done. Look into artists in the city, too. It's a drag to travel, but it's something that you'll have forever, so a little travel time is worth it. Some ring tats can look very nice, but some that I've seen look a little blurry. That can also be from the person scratching at it when it's new.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. I've been w FH forever and I don't feel that putting his initial on my skin is going to determine the length or quality of our lives together. JMO!

Most of the time, the reason people break up is b/c they were not ment to be together

I AGREE I DONT BELIEVE THAT IF YOU TATTOO THE PERSONS NAME ON YOUR BODY THAT STANDS FOR BAD LUCK. I HAVE MY FH'S NAME ON MY NECK AND SINCE THE DAY I GOT IT THINGS COUNLDNT BE BETTER.

BUT BEFORE I GOT THE TATTOO I DID THINK ABOUT IT. MY SON AND MY FH HAVE THE SAME NAME SO IF ANYTHING EVERY HAPPENS IT WILL STAND FOR MY SONS NAME.

THIS DOESNT CHANGE THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT IT NOT BEING BAD LUCK.

We don't and don't plan to. We have other tats. For us it isn't necessary and god forbid...

Love that, thats kinda what i wanna do, put it someplace where no one else will see...my star is on my lower left side and since im not a small girl most people don;t know its there except me and FH.

He wants my name somewhere and then im also contemplating paying for the 3/4 sleeve that he wants for his grooms gift...he has wanted the 3/4 sleeve for years, but its expensive and he wants to sketch it out and be able to pay for all of it to be done in concecutive appointments... so we will see
