Anyone having a ceremony at your hall- Are you having limos?

If so, what company did you use and approx what are you spending? I am having a hard time justifying a 20 min car ride for $1000.

That's a bit much. I am having pick up drop off limo service from my house...that runs more around $200-$250. There is no reason to have a limo for hours if you are just going there from your house and that's it. Just me and my BP are going in the limo. Their dates are bringing their cars and FH is driving himself/having BM drive him since we are staying over night and need a way to get home.

I skipped limos to save money - I just didn't really see the need since I was getting married at the hall & not doing pictures before.

Yeah, pick up drop off service should be much cheaper-depending on the size car you need.

Or, what you could do-have one car and have it for whatever the limo minimum Time is (usually 3 hours). Have it pick up FH and his side, drop them at the hall. Have that same limo come get you and your side and drop you at the hall. We were going to do this but our hall is too far from our hotel.

We are using an escalade for the entire bridal party. The limo is going to pick up the guys and drop them off at a near by beach, then the limo will come get the girls, we'll take pictures there and then all travel to the hall together

I'm having a limo pick up me and my girls and drop us off at the hall (about min away) and then go and pick up the guys and drop them off at the hall. I also am having another limo coming to pick us up at the end and drop us off at the hotel (also about - min. away). I think it came to $375 from NY Style Limousine Service in Holbrook. They were a vendor from my RH and the best quote I got.

We didn't use limos. My mom took me from the hotel to the hall, where I got dressed. My DH and his family took a cab from the hotel. We did photos, ceremony, reception, one right after another, and took a cab home at the end of the night.

I'm using 1 -14 passanger. SInce you have to book it for 3 hours, it will pick up FH and family bring them to the hall and come back and get me and my family. It will do 2 round trips. It worked out better. My hall is about 20-25 minutes away.

we're having drop of/pick up service also...
we're using 2 limos (one to my house and one to FI's house in the morning) ....

Dropping us off to the ceremony place...
and picking us up after the reception.

came out to about $1k

We're doing pick-up/drop off for only the girls. The limo will come pick us up at my house, bring us to the hall and then leave. It was about $200. FH will drive our car to the hall, so we will drive ourselves to the hotel afterwards. I just really wanted to get ready at the house I grew up in, and didn't want to squish my dress into my parent's car.

I did. I used Cruise Control for a pick up and drop off, and then a ride back from the hall to the hotel afterwards.

I think it was $300

We decided to skip the limos. I am staying at Inn at Fox Hollow the night before, we are also staying there night of wedding so we will need a car to get home.

We skipped the limos. A family friend restores classic cars and took me to the hall with his car.

that's a good idea

We had limos because I *really* wanted to. But the whole thing cost us maybe $400 (two 12 passenger limos). I don't think that $1000 is an even remotely sensible quote.

I am using Royalty for pick-up/drop-off service. They quoted $600 for 4 10-passenger white Lincolns:

My house to WM (40 minute drive)
FI house to WM (50 minute drive)
WM to my parents house, then FI parents house (1 - 1.5 hour drive)
WM to our apartment in the city (one hour drive)

It may depend more on the size of your bridal party and if you want to provide them with transportation.

For my MOH's wedding at the Riverview, she only had one BM (her sis) and since the ceremony was there also, it was silly for them to have limos.

I don't think it's necessary to have them.

We're just paying for pick up and drop off. We saved a ton of money

We're not. While I love the idea of making my getaway in a classic Rolls Royce, it is looking more and more like FH and I will be among the first people at the RH and the last to leave, so it's not worth the $$ to me. We'll get rides with our attendants or parents from the hotel (where we'll be getting ready) to the RH and the same on the way back afterward. Although the idea of piling into my mom's Ford Taurus in my wedding gown isn't nearly as spectacular, I'd rather spend the extra $$ on our photographer or something else to make the day more memorable.

We are..we are using Royalty we are getting

1 excalibur to drop off me, my moh and my parents
at the hall.
1 escalade fto drop off fh and his groomsmen at the hall
1 10 passenger lincoln to pick up fil and some other family members out east and bring to hall.

Then we are getting 3 limos after the reception to take everyone that came in a limo home/hotel in one.

We paid $1100.00.
