I was thinking of having a sparkler send-off after the reception. When the limo comes to take us to the hotel. Anyone having a send off?

I think it sounds like a great idea. The only thing I'd worry about is that at the end of all of the weddings I have been to recently the Bride & Groom are some of the last to go. Usually standing on the dance floor as everyone says goodbye.
I'd make a definite plan ahead of time and coordinate with your Maitre'D and DJ/Band to make sure it flows ok.

I am not sure what to do
Maybe I can have the Maitre'D coordinate it for me outside. Or maybe have small notes on each table informing everyone that at 12 midnight....there will be a Send-Off. What do you think?

Send-offs are an older tradition, not that they're not nice, but most people don't have them any more. Most times people were 'sent off' because they were leaving straight for their honeymoon. If you are going to have one, I love the idea of doing it with sparklers.
