Just wanted to know if any other brides have ideas to share for their vineyard theme wedding. I am having my reception at the vineyard caterers, and I want to add to the theme but don't want to over power it.

I am meeting with the florist in the next few weeks but I am planning for roses... not doing anything with wine. But I will do something vineyard with the out of town guest welcome baskets. What kinds of things are you planning? Are you having your ceremony at the Vineyard?

For flowers I was thing about fall colors and flowers, but also adding vines around the base of the stand. I also saw a centerpiece that added champagne grapes. I might do that depending on if I like it.
For the welcome baskets I was thinking about doing snacks, bottles of water, maps and brochures of things to do. What are you doing? Also what hotel did you book out there?

Similar idea for the welcome basket... maps of vineyards etc... I reserved rooms at the Hampton Inn Brookhaven. They are also providing transportation for the quests! The drive is longer than I wanted but it was so much nicer then the other option. What place are you using?

I can't believe I didn't see this!!! Welcome to the wonderful world of the vineyard wedding!
There is so much that can be done without overpowering the theme - it can be subtle, but it's so fun.
Heres a few things...
-placing local produce in guests hotel rooms (fresh picked strawberries, local pies)
-wine charms, bottle stoppers, wine, or the like as a favor...
-using wine corks as placecard holders (see randellas most recent Martha Stewart post - she has a pic)
-organize a tasting tour for OOT guests on day of wedding
-Name tables after different types of wine
-Have wine tastings during the cocktail hour
-ummm...trying to think - ours is more tuscan/vintage - we are maybe giving olive oil as a favor - big bowls of bread on family size tables - flowers in the hair - cake (maybe) with grapes...
