Mine will be over at 5 so def an after party!!! But we're on a sunday so im sure some people will go home but our huge group of friends will prob stay out n party n call in sick the nexy day LOL

im not sure what we are doing yet! the wedding ends at 1... it is a sunday but everyone that is staying is going to be taking off the next day anyway so we might.... the only thing is that the inn has a bed and breakfast that they give us for free the night of the wedding so we would have to go somewhere else and it might be more stress then fun ...

i think if you are having OOT guests its good if there is a bar in the hotel or close by - you never know who might want to still party even if the bride and groom aren't up to it - at my FSIL's wedding there was an after party even though they went back up to their room!

We have a very young crowd and at all of the weddings I have went to with FH they all had an after party at their hotel and closed the bar down, with or without the bride and groom so I think wih our friends they expect it!

We haven't decided on anything yet for us.
I've only been to two after parties. One was in the hotel bar, but it's a lame atmosphere, so we all ended up going to a bar any paying for our drinks anyway. The other one I went to was in a suite in the hotel after the wedding and it was mostly BYOB and heroes and stuff.

Same here! FH is adamant on the after party but it's gonna be a long day and I'm gonna want to go to sleep!

we're having a daytime wedding so when blocking our hotel one of the requirements we had was that it had to have a bar. we're not going to have a formal after party but we're going to invite everyone to the bar afterwards to keep the fun going!

I've planned for an after party at the Pub in the Glen Cove Mansion after our wedding. i wanted to pick up the bar tab since most the expected guests will be family and friends but it may depend on how many and who eventually decides to join us. I know a few that can drink and drink and may put me in the poor house
