I was thinking of having cups sewn into my gown as I feel like it would be hard to find a bra that would show under my dress and also it's going to be so hot, I think I might be uncomfortable with a corset or bra underneath. Has anyone had cups sewn into their dress? Are there any drawbacks to this?

Re: Anyone having cups sewn into their dress?
I had it done. It was great - no bra to deal with. WIth my dress it was the best option. The back was too low for a strapless bra.
The only downside I could see (which didn't matter to me) was if you wanted pictures of you getting ready - you're pretty naked.
I don't like those pictures - I wanted none until I was dressed so it wasn't an issue.

Has anyone with a large chest done this? IM a 36D but can't find a corset that won't show over my dress.

SonicStef- I'm a (I hate to divulge this much info but I feel kind of sisterly to you all! ) 34F and I don't think I would risk getting the cups sewn in--there probably wouldn't be too much support that way. I'm going to Blum's in Patchogue this Friday and will let you know what the selection there is like if you want. I'm suspect that it will be tough to find something that won't make my dress lumpy. But I'm very hard to fit and they have been very good in the past!

I am going to Blums tommorow. I was there last week, but have been all over since and cant find anything for my strapless gown. My size is just plain hard to find they say. My first fitting is next week so I need to find something.

I am definitely having cups sewn in. I would have to wear a strapless bra otherwise, and I know I will be uncomfortable. And with my chest, there will be no problem (baby Bs )

I'm a big fan of having cups sewn into the dress, but for those of you wearing stockings, what about lines? I 'm afraid you'll be able to see the line of the underskirt (crinoline?) and the stockings???? I've been contemplating this for months, and my fitting is now in 2 weeks, so I need to decide.
