Anyone having HAMPTONS wedding???

I am looking to get married in the Hamptons. I've looked into all of the Vineyards, but they require buying their wine...non-drinker. I might have wine, but not cases and cases!!

I also looked into Atlantica in West Hampton Beach. It looks Beautiful...but expensive. Can anyone help??

I'm planning a wedding in Southampton - although today might not be the best day to talk to me as I am about to chuck it all and go and get married by a JoP in Virginia...but as soon as I calm down I'd be happy to help as much as I can. FM me or post specific ?s and I'll do my best!

I'm new at this...don't know what FM is. You can email me: [email protected]

I'm wondering what places are ideal. Where are you planning your wedding? Did you check out Atlantica? Is it possible to plan an affordable wedding in the Hamptons.

Take your time in getting back to me...I know this can all be very frustrating. I now realize why couples do elope!!

Rachel -

I'm planning a September 2004 wedding in Southampton. It's possible to do an affordable wedding in the hamptons, but it will take a lot of research and planning. I'm having the reception at a private club, but there are a lot of nice restaurants and other places. Keep in mind that the US Open golf tournament is in June in Southampton, so EVERYTHING is going to be pricier in June because of that.

I didn't look at the Atlantica but I've heard amazing things about it.

You might want to look at the Villa Maria Spirituality Center in Watermill. Its on the water and BEAUTIFUL. I've been to a wedding there that was amazing.

There are also some great options in Montaulk which are beautiful and perhaps a little less pricey than the traditional hamptons areas.

I'll look over my lists and get more info to you...

Thanks, I appreciate it. My fiance's family will be traveling across the country for this wedding, so I want everything to be really nice...however, I am a recent college graduate, and do not have much money to spend. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

I'm planning a wedding at Atlantica, so I can answer any questions you have on that. I also really liked Lands End, not really the hamptons but close. Bellport Country Club was also an option, probably less expensive than many Hamptons places. You can find less expensive prices if you are willing to have your wedding out of season...hope this helps!

You can also try Giorgios at Fox Hill in Baiting Hollow, The Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue or Rock Hill country club. They arent in the Hamptons but for the season you want you may be able to find a better price.

Does anyone know how much these places run?? I realize that there are many variables, but I was just wondering if anyone has an estimate of the cost per person??

Re: Anyone having HAMPTONS wedding???

I would definitely check in Montauk...the Montauk yacht Club, Gurneys, etc...its close enough to the hamptons to do a day trip or dinner there or something...if theya re going to come across country, hey may like to go and check it out...when r u planning to get married? November thru March is going to save you a lot more money than APril thru October....Atlantica is absolutely gorgeous...also that Spiritual center in Watermill is absolutely breathtaking, I ahve seen beautiful weddings there....Good luck in whatever you decide to do! I am from Sag Harbor, but there is not really any places there..unless you check out he Waterside...its really pretty too...or Hampton hall in Southampton, used to be the old Polish hall, its had a major renovation, so now sure on the pice, but does not hurt to check!

Re: Anyone having HAMPTONS wedding???

I can't help you with your Hamptons search - but i can help you with FM!!
When you want to send someone an FM (Forum Mail - your own 'private' mailbox) simply click on the Forum Mail key at the bottom of that individual's post. It will then give you a screen where you can type a personal message to that person. When you want to check your FM to see if anyone has replied to your messages, or FMed you an information - click on the 'Mailbox' key towards the top of the screen next to 'My Account' and your mailbox will come up. It took me a few weeks to figure this out - that's why I gave such detailed instructions!!!

Good luck with your wedding plans!!
